Warsaw Stadium hosts the first game of the euro 2012 on Friday the 8th of june. It cost over £255million to build and is one of the newer stadiums to host games in the Poland and Ukraine Euro’s, it boast a capacity of 50,000 for the euro 2012 championships. The stadium was built in place of the 10th anniversary stadium close to the Vistula river in Warsaw the capital of host nation Poland. |

Gdansk Stadium has a capacity of just over 40,000 for euro 2012 with a striking design that can be noticed from miles around. The stadium was completed just in time for euro 2012 with the stadium being signed off towards the end of 2011. Built specifically for football it doesn’t include a running track so that the fans are closer to the action. |

Poznan Stadium is the home of the football club KKS Lech Poznan and has a capacity of just over 43,000 all seated. The stadium cost €180million and was finish in 1980 making it one of the older stadiums in the competition. It will host group C matches in the euro 2012 group stages. |

Wroclaw Stadium is yet another stadium built just in time for euro 2012 with it only being finished in late 2011. It has an all seated capacity of just over 42,000 and it will host group A matches in the euro championships. Its design it based on a chinese lantern and its home to footballing club Slask Wroclaw. |

Kiev Stadium is the Ukraines national stadium and has a capacity of of over 70,000 making it one of the larger stadiums in this summers euro 2012. It cost over $520million and has been renovated between 2009 and 2011 to prepare for the 2012 euros. When the stadium originally opened its capacity was a measly 10,000 back in 1920. |

Lviv Stadium recently finished in 2011 has a capacity of just over 34,000 and cost a whopping €210million. The stadiums final name has yet to be unveiled but many expect it to be called Lemberg Stadium because Lviv in german is Lemberg. It will host Group B matches in this year euro 2012 competition. |

Kharkiv Stadium has a capacity of 38,000 for this summer competition and will play host to the rest of Group B matches when the competition begins. The stadium plays host to Metalist Kharkiv during the normal season and has been remodelled as a multi-sport complex after u Ukraine’s successes at the recent success’s at the Olympics. It affectionate name is the ‘Spider Arena’ |

Donetsk Stadium has a capacity of over 52,000 all seated making it the second largest stadium involved in this summers competition. With an age of just over a year this ultra-modern stadium cost over €255million and is home to the well known club Shaktar Donetsk. The stadium will host three Group D matches, a Quarte-Final and a Semi-Final because of its size and good travel links.The exterior of the stadium is similar to the Allianz-Arena in germany, where the whole stadium can change colour. |
