Euro 2012 News – Lampard Ruled Out
England and Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has been ruled out of this summers euro 2012 with a thigh injury. This latest piece of euro 2012 news has many england fans down hearted especially with Roy Hodgson’s decision to call up Liverpools Jordan Henderson.
Lampard and his chelsea team have had a mixed season with the first half seemingly being disappointing with them then to push on and win both the FA cup and the UEFA Champions League. Lampard was not set to start for England with the likes of Steven Gerrard and Scott Parker looking likely to play ahead of him, but his skill will be sorely missed for England this summer.
Henderson hasn’t had the best of season’s along with many for his club in which the team finished 10Th this year in the Barclays premier league. Stuart Downing was also involved in Liverpools disappointing season in which he had and amazing record of playing 26 times in the league creating no assists and scoring no goals.
Lampard injured himself in training with the England squad on the 29th of May and is now set to stay at home for the summer months and make sure that he is fit for Chelsea’s pre-season
